February Mini Book Reviews: Part 4

Y'all know I can't go a whole month without at least one sci-fi or speculative fiction book! Here was my pick for February:

The Scourge Between the Stars by Ness Brown 

This book gripped me & did not let go until the very last sentence! Jacklyn is a fantastic lead thanks to her problem-solving abilities & dedication to the crew of the Calypso. I loved having a Black female lead who is also queer!

The pacing of the story steadily increased as the threat came closer which was really cool. I really enjoyed this story & was hoping to read about what happened to the crew after the end of this book, but I see that the author hasn't written anything else in a while.
