About
Hi! I'm Gabby Womack
AKA Bookish AfroLatina
Gabby is a librarian, archivist, and historian with a passion for uncovering and sharing stories by and about underrepresented groups (BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Disabled, and more). She grew up in a culturally diverse family and moved quite a bit as a child. This exposed her to many different ways of thinking and gave an appreciation for differences among people.

With her bachelor's of arts degree in History, Gabby went on to earn two master's degrees: an M.A. in History and an M.S. in Library Science, with an Archives Management concentration in 2017. All the while, Gabby worked as a docent at a historical house, worked internships at JFK Library and Museum and the Harvard Film Archives, and got a job at MIT Libraries.

Now, as a librarian, Gabby is dedicated to supporting underrepresented groups and her community through her antiracism efforts and bookstagram (nickname for book accounts on instagram)!
